28-30 November 2017. 34th Exhibition for Food and Beverage ISRAFOOD 2017 at the Tel Aviv Convention Center in Tel Aviv, Israel.

In 2017, we successfully started implementing the European Union (EU) project for the entering of new markets outside the EU, thus giving manufacturers an opportunity to offer their products to a wider range of buyers. We carry out project activities under MILK RIVER brand which is created specifically for the implementation of this project. The first public activity within the framework of the project was the participation at ISRAFOOD 2017.

ISRAFOOD is the main and most important trade event for the food and beverage industry in Israel. This exhibition is the main platform for professional and business encounters between manufacturers and importers, and representatives of the institutional, professional, retail chain sectors as well as the private sector. This exhibition is open only for professionals who, directly or indirectly, represent the food and beverage industry. On average, over 18 000 specialists, including business leaders and professional buyers visit it.

During the exhibition, we examined the Middle Eastern market characteristics and prospects we must take into account when exporting products to the countries in this region. Also, we established possible new export cooperation contacts and expanded our communication efforts with the existing business partners of Latvian entrepreneurs in Israel.

During ISRAFOOD 2017, Latvian milk manufacturers also held a meeting with business representatives at the Embassy of Latvia in Israel, Tel Aviv where product presentations to buyers, representatives of food retail chains and other potential cooperation partners within the export market segment took place.
